Questions we hear most
- How much does a fireplace or stove cost installed?
- It depends on the model, the options you choose, and your home's venting and gas line. Every fireplace, stove, and insert on our site shows an installed price range: tell us what you have today and the range narrows to your home. Ask for the written quote and it's emailed to you right away.
- Will a fireplace or stove heat my home during a power outage?
- A wood stove or wood insert needs no electricity, so it keeps heating through an outage; only the blower stops. Many gas fireplaces and inserts keep running too, depending on how they light: millivolt models and many with battery backup work without power. Electric fireplaces need power. If outage heat matters to you, tell us and we'll point you to the models that keep going.
- Who installs and services what you sell?
- Our own crews install the fireplaces, stoves, and inserts we sell, and our service techs maintain and repair them for years after. We also service gas fireplaces and stoves from the brands we carry, even if you bought yours somewhere else. Wood, pellet, and coal service is for units bought from Bowman's.
- What areas do you serve?
- We install and service hearth products within about an hour of our Ephrata store, covering Lancaster, Berks, Lebanon, and Chester counties, plus the Harrisburg, York, and Pottstown areas. Furniture delivery reaches Pennsylvania homes within about 90 minutes of the store.
- Can I see the fireplaces burning before I buy?
- Yes. Our showroom at 1060 Division Highway in Ephrata has three floors of stoves, fireplaces, and inserts with live-burning displays, plus outdoor furniture sets, grills, and fire pits you can sit at and try.
- Do you deliver and set up patio furniture?
- Yes. Our own crew brings your furniture fully assembled and places it where you want it. Delivery is $199 within about a 30-minute drive of Ephrata, with an added distance fee up to about 90 minutes away. In-store pickup is free, and we assemble it before you take it home.
- Do you offer financing?
- Yes. With approved credit, in-store purchases over $2,000 qualify for 0% financing for 12 months through the Synchrony Home credit card, with a 10% deposit at the time of sale. See our financing page for the details.
