Protection plan questions
What does the 5-Year Protection Plan cover?+
Mechanical breakdown, accidental damage from handling, power surge damage, and no-lemon protection on stoves, fireplaces, inserts, and grills purchased from Bowman's — plus covered accessories bought with the unit. There are no deductibles or service fees, and covered repairs are unlimited up to the original purchase price.
How is this different from the manufacturer's warranty?+
A manufacturer's warranty covers factory defects, usually with shrinking coverage after the first year or two, and it never covers accidents or power surges. The protection plan runs 5 full years, adds accident and surge coverage, and pays parts and labor on covered repairs with no service fees.
How much does it cost?+
The plan is priced from your product and accessories total, so every written quote from our fireplace configurator shows the exact add-on price for your configuration. Ask in store or request a quote online to see yours.
Who does the repairs?+
We do — Bowman's own OEM-authorized service team comes to your home, the same technicians who install and service the brands we sell every day.
What products can be covered?+
Stoves, fireplaces, and inserts (gas, wood, pellet, and electric) and BBQ grills purchased from Bowman's. Coverage for outdoor furniture isn't available yet.
When do I add the plan?+
The easiest time is at purchase — just tell us to include it when you confirm your quote or check out in store. Missed it? You can still add the plan up to 90 days from your install or delivery date.
Does the plan include annual maintenance?+
No — the yearly maintenance service fee is separate. The plan does require that your fireplace or stove follows the manufacturer's recommended service requirements, which usually means having us service it each year for cleaning and maintenance to keep it running safely and efficiently. That annual visit is a good idea anyway — it's what keeps the unit healthy between covered repairs.
