Family-owned Minuteman has supplied fireplace and woodstove accessories since 1977, with an in-house design team and hand-forged wrought iron. Its collections — Twisted Rope, Arts & Crafts, Wright Design, Park Avenue, and more — let you match a tool set, screen, and log holder.

Pilgrim has made fireplace accessories for more than 75 years and backs its products with a lifetime warranty (registration required). It runs one of the largest made-in-USA custom-size fire screen programs in North America — handy when a stock screen won't fit your opening.

For freestanding stoves
Hearth pads by American Panel
A freestanding wood, pellet, gas, or coal stove needs a non-combustible pad between it and your floor. American Panel pads are built on an extruded aluminum frame with non-combustible backing, finished in ceramic tile or natural slate, and tested to UL 1618.
They come in standard, corner, octagon, and extension shapes from 24 × 32 in. up to 60 in., with custom sizes up to 60 in. deep or wide. Matching wall pads can reduce the required clearance to a combustible wall — up to 66% in many cases — and pedestals raise a stove for easier loading.
Type 2 · ember + thermal
Traditional tile & slate pads
Protects against both embers and heat, for stoves whose listing calls for thermal floor protection. Eight tile colors and natural slate (cleft, tumbled, polished), including Montana Flagstone, Random Square Cut, and Venetian Inlay designs, with an Original or Colonial edge. Five-year limited warranty.
Type 1 · ember only
Ember Defender steel pads
An ⅛-in. powder-coated steel pad with rounded front corners — low enough to roll a wheelchair or walker over. For stoves that require ember protection only; not for stoves that need thermal protection. Black, in standard, corner, and extension shapes up to 54 × 54 in.
Which pad you need depends on your stove — its manual lists the required floor protection type and R-value. Bring the model number and we'll match the pad.

- A freestanding stove on a combustible floor needs floor protection that meets the stove manufacturer's listing. Some stoves only require ember protection (a Type 1 pad), while others require thermal protection (a Type 2 pad with a minimum R-value). Check your stove's manual, or bring the model number to our showroom and we'll help you choose.
