Arches, stone & odd shapes
Made for the fireplace you have
Masonry openings are rarely perfectly square. Stoll builds each door from your fireplace's own measurements — including true arches, corner fireplaces, and see-through fireplaces — and an arch conversion can give a rectangular opening an arched look.
Stoll doors are tested by an independent UL-approved lab to UL 127. Because every door is custom, they aren't labeled “UL Listed.”

Your doors are built to order in the USA to those measurements. Custom doors typically take 4–6 weeks.

- Do glass fireplace doors save energy?
- On an open masonry fireplace, yes. When the fire is out, a chimney keeps drawing warm room air up the flue. Stoll says its fireplace doors eliminate up to 90% of the cold air drafts from a masonry fireplace.
- Can I burn a fire with the glass doors closed?
- Only with pyro-ceramic glass. Stoll recommends keeping tempered-glass doors open while burning and closing the mesh; pyro-ceramic glass is rated for well above 1,000 degrees and is available for masonry fireplaces.
- Does Bowman's measure and install fireplace doors?
- Yes. After you order, Bowman's comes to your home to take exact measurements of your fireplace opening before the doors are ordered, and our own crew installs the finished doors. We install within about 1 hour of our Ephrata store — the Lancaster, Reading, Lebanon, and York areas.
- How long do custom fireplace doors take?
- Stoll builds every door to order in Abbeville, South Carolina. Custom doors typically take 4–6 weeks to build; some standard sizes ship sooner.
- What warranty comes with Stoll fireplace doors?
- Stoll's 5-year limited warranty covers the metal and finish for 5 years, and glass and electrical parts for 1 year, for the original purchaser. Heat discoloration, glass broken by high heat, and labor are not covered. Warranty claims go through your dealer.
- Can Stoll doors fit an arched or corner fireplace?
- Yes. Most Stoll styles are available in arch, corner, and arch-conversion shapes, and Stoll also builds doors for see-through, three-sided, L-shaped, and peninsula fireplaces.
