About the Elegance 40

Technology meets aesthetics — a 40" EPA wood fireplace with a 3.2 cu ft soapstone-lined firebox, up to 90,000 BTU, 6–12 hour burns, and the variable-speed blower included.

The Elegance 40 is a great example of combining technology and aesthetics. Like the rest of the series it is lined with soapstone, which stores more heat than firebrick or cast iron and gives it back over a longer heat life, and its patented automatic air control delivers long burns with consistent, steady output — up to 90,000 BTU for 6 to 12 hours from a 3.2 cu ft firebox. EPA certified at 1.47 g/h with 75% optimal efficiency, and the 165 CFM variable-speed blower with in-wall control is included. Four configurations — rectangular or arched door, louvered or clean face — plus optional gravity vents, a ducted hot-air kit, and fresh-air kits let you tailor it to the room. Zero-clearance construction, 6" Class A chimney. Built by Supreme in Canada with a limited 10-year warranty — an outstanding performer and terrific value. Its bigger brother, the Elegance 42 Arched, is on display in our Ephrata showroom.

Features

  • Natural soapstone firebox lining — absorbs 15% more heat than firebrick and radiates it 5× longer, so the room stays warm between loads
  • Patented automatic air control — heat-activated, tapers the burn for long, even, consistent heat (as low as 0.8 kg of wood per hour)
  • EPA 2020 certified — clean, efficient burns with 75% optimal efficiency
  • Large ceramic glass viewing area with a simple, easy-latch door handle
  • Zero-clearance construction — frames into new construction or a remodel; installs on 6" Class A stainless chimney (15–35 ft)
  • Four looks: rectangular or arched door, louvered or clean-face front, all in Metallic Black
  • Move the heat: built-in blower, optional gravity vent kit, or a ducted hot-air distribution kit to warm other rooms
  • Ambiance non-combustible mantels need no clearance; built by Supreme in Canada; limited 10-year warranty
