About the Gateway 2300

The mid-size Gateway: a 2.4 cu ft steel wood stove that heats up to 2,100 sq ft with 20" logs and an 8-hour burn — simple one-lever control, no-mess ash pan, EPA 2020 certified.

The Gateway 2300 is the all-rounder of the line — 500 to 2,100 sq ft, 20" logs and up to an 8-hour burn — for most ranch and two-story homes. Like every Gateway, it is a plate-steel stove built by Stove Builder International for Empire Stove: a 5/16"-thick steel top for long, even heat radiation, a firebrick-lined firebox with a C-Cast ceramic baffle and secondary-combustion air tubes, and an air-wash system that keeps the ceramic glass clear. Running it is simple — one lever sets the burn rate — and the pull-out ash pan with a cover keeps clean-out tidy. Dress it your way with a black or nickel cast-iron door overlay and a pedestal or one of four leg styles; a variable-speed blower, fire screen, step top and outside-air kit are optional. EPA 2020 certified at 1.54 g/h on cordwood (69% HHV efficiency), approved for alcove and mobile-home installation, and backed by Empire's limited lifetime warranty on the firebox welds and cast door frame.
