About the Chaska 29 Millivolt

Millivolt (standing-pilot) model: no electricity required — keeps working in a power outage. Fan kit and remote or thermostat are NOT included; add them under Optional Accessories.

A compact direct-vent gas insert with plenty of warmth: the Chaska 29 Millivolt uses a standing pilot, comes with its fan kit, and keeps heating when the power goes out (only the fan needs electricity). Add the Skytech thermostat remote for hands-off control.

High Performing, Compact Gas Fireplace Insert. If you need a gas fireplace insert that will provide plenty of warmth without dominating your living space, the Chaska 29 Millivolt could be just what you're looking for. This is the standing-pilot (millivolt) version of the Chaska 29, and it comes with the fan kit included. Because the pilot and burner don't depend on household electricity, it keeps heating during a power outage — only the fan needs power. Its compact direct-vent design fits most existing wood fireplaces, and you can choose log or glass media, liner, screen front, and shroud to finish it. Pair it with the Skytech thermostat remote (offered as the default remote option) for set-and-forget comfort.
