About the Lakefield XL

The Lakefield XL is Kozy Heat's fully equipped free-standing direct-vent gas stove: 40,000 BTU/hr with electronic (IPI) ignition, and the fan kit and thermostat remote come included. No chimney needed — it vents straight through a wall or roof, so it heats almost any room. (The separate Lakefield XL Millivolt is the standing-pilot version with the fan and remote as add-ons.)

The Lakefield XL is a free-standing direct-vent gas stove with serious output: rated at 40,000 BTU/hr on natural gas (39,000 on LP) at about 69% efficiency, it's low on fuel and high on heat. This is the IPI model, and it comes fully equipped — electronic intermittent-pilot ignition, the fan kit, and the thermostat remote control are all included, so there's nothing to add to get the complete stove. Because it's direct vent there's no chimney or existing fireplace required; it connects to the outside through its own venting, which opens up almost any room of the house, even in homes that weren't built for a gas appliance. Traditional legs and a screen front are standard, and the screen, refractory, and base can be customized for a range of looks. Limited lifetime warranty. Looking for the standing-pilot version that runs with no electricity at all? That's the separate Lakefield XL Millivolt, where the fan kit and remote are optional add-ons.
